Class of 2020 guard Jahlil White from Wildwood Catholic (NJ) and the NJ Shoreshots has had quite the spring thus far. There is a lot of buzz around White and it looks like his name is only growing. He spoke to HG Insider about this AAU season and much more.

Q: You are starting to build a bigger reputation now, but I’m sure you are far from satisfied. What are you looking to prove this Spring and Summer?

A: “This spring and summer I am looking to prove that me and my team are here to take over and win the HGSL.”

Q: Your team is talented from top to bottom. What do you like most about suiting up with the NJ Shoreshots?

A: “Everyone always asks me why I don’t play with a circuit team. Coming over to Shoreshots was one of the best decisions I made. I like suiting up for Shoreshots because we play as a team and these guys are like family on and off the court.”

Q: What are some personal and team goals that you have?

A: “Some personal goals I have is definitely to develop my jump shot. I also want to gather more coaches attention this spring and summer. The team goals I have would definitely be to win in the HGSL at the end of the year.”

Q: What are people going to learn about you when they watch you this season?

A: “People are going to learn that when I’m not having my best game I will still be playing hard and that I can compete with the best of the best.”

Q: Who are some players that you look at in the NBA or college to help your game?

A: “A player in the NBA I look at to help my game is definitely Kevin Durant. He’s 6’9 and can put the ball on the floor and has a great jumper also can get to the basketball when he wants too.”
