Class of 2021 guard Kyle Cuffe Jr. made it to the Top 30 Cream of the Crop Game at the Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp. Cuffe has been flowing under the radar for quite some time but is starting to make a name for himself. HG Insider spoke to the Avon Old Farms (CT) guard on the rise.

Q: You performed well here at Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph Camp. What was this like for you?

A: “It’s my first time here and coming into it I didn’t know how I was going to do. Once the ball tipped off I relaxed and played well.”

Q: When you are on the court playing well, how are you impacting the game?

A: “It all starts with my aggression because when I’m aggressive I get most of my buckets. I create opportunities for myself off my defense and things like that.”

Q: If someone were to watch you play for the first time what do you think they would say?

A: “They would probably say that I work hard and do the little things like going for loose balls. I think they’d notice how aggressive I am and how I never give up on a play.”

Q: What do you see as the next step in your game?

A: “I would like to add a pull up jump shot off the dribble, I want to improve on my basketball I.Q. and my passing.”

Q: What are some of the goals you have in mind for this high school season at Avon Old Farms?

A: “I’m trying to help lead my team to a NEPSAC Championship. I have to make sure I do everything I can to help my team like hitting shots and get my big men involved.”
