Hoop Group Insider is back with its Hoop Group Showcase awards set to release throughout this week. Yesterday, we released the All-Second Team for players who participated in this year’s showcases and today we will release the All-Underclassmen team. He are the five sophomore and freshman who made the cut this year.

Shane Dezonie | Hudson Catholic, NJ (Class of 2021)

After graduating a big senior class last year, Hudson Catholic needed some of its underclassmen to step up and sophomore wing Shane Dezonie definitely answered the call. Dezonie is very dynamic off the bounce as he can either take it to the basket or knock down a pull up jump shot with consistency. The class of 2021 prospect definitely raised his stock at the New Jersey Tip-Off Showcase.

Ben Roy | Manasquan, NJ (Class of 2022)

Manasquan point guard Ben Roy had a decent amount of hype in the Jersey Shore area heading into this high school season and it’s safe to say that he lived up to it. Roy displayed an excellent feel for the game and impressive playmaking ability. In both the New Jersey Tip Off Showcase and the Boardwalk Showcase, Roy showed a lot of poise and is definitely someone to keep an eye on next high school season.

Geoff Schroeder | Rumson Fair-Haven, NJ (Class of 2022)

Geoff Schroeder had quite the performance at the Boardwalk Showcase this year. In Rumson Fair-Haven’s highly anticipated matchup against Middletown North, Schroeder dropped 30 points. While there were plenty of other top prospects in the event, Schroeder’s performance may have stood out the most. Rumson Fair-Haven definitely has someone to rely on for big scoring performances like these going forward.

Ryan Mabrey | Christian Brothers Academy, NJ (Class of 2022)

Christian Brothers Academy has had its fair share of talent in the past and freshman Ryan Mabrey continues that tradition. Mabrey is a big freshman guard who has a real knack for shooting the ball. This CBA team has a great deal of senior leadership, but Mabrey provides a nice spark. He made a good impression on many shore fans at the Boardwalk Showcase.

Denver Anglin | Gill St. Bernard’s, NJ (Class of 2022)

Gill St. Bernard’s freshman point guard Denver Anglin is in a great position to develop as a player learning under senior guard and Rutgers commit Paul Mulcahy. Anglin plays with a lot of grit and competes on both ends of the floor. There a few underclassmen with his ability to attack the basket and he also has a nice mid-range jump shot in his arsenal. Anglin is a name you should be hearing a lot of the next four years.
