Rider commit and NE6 guard Corey McKeithan shined in last week’s session of the Under Armour Association. McKeithan led his team to a big 78-77 win over West Coast Elite with 24 points. He broke down his game, his decision to commit to Rider and more with HG Insider.

Q: What are some of the different ways you try to make an impact on the floor?

A: “I’m trying to play defense better, I do a good job with my pull up and a lot of things.”

Q: What are your strengths on the floor?

A: “I can shoot, I like to pass and play tough defense.”

Q: You guys don’t have as much star power as other teams, but so far you have been one of the most successful teams this AAU season. What would you attribute that to?

A: “Just playing together as a team and not arguing with each other. We just play as a team.”

Q: You decided to end the recruitment process earlier than most would. Why did you decide on Rider?

A: “When I went to visit there it just seemed perfect for me and I loved it. I love the coaches and the players told me so many good things about the school. They are like a family.”

Q: What are your goals with this NE6?

A: “I just want to win the whole thing. We are the underdogs here and everyone is looking down on us so I want to win.”
