Q&A with Class of 2021 standout Bensley Joseph - He talks about who he models his game after and much more

Class of 2021 point guard Bensley Joseph from Cushing Academy (MA) and Expressions Elite is one of the top playmakers in his class. Joseph has a great feel for the game with how he creates for himself and his teammates. He broke down his game and much more for Hoop Group Insider.

Q: What would you say is your biggest asset to a team?

A: “My biggest asset is being a leader on the floor, getting everyone involved and then to create for myself.”

Q: You have a good feel for the game on the floor. Do you spend a lot of time studying basketball?

A: “Yes, I do spend plenty of time watching the game in person and on film. Mainly to get better at my mistakes.”

Q: Who some players in the NBA that you model your game after?

A: “I model my game around Russell Westbrook, I feel he’s a do it all point guard that wants to win and has a motor and drive, which is what I see in myself.”

Q: What is something that most people don’t know about you?

A: “Most people don’t know that I played soccer this past fall.”

Q: What are people going to learn about Bensley Joseph in the next five years?

A: “People will learn that Bensley Joseph is a leader that wants to improve in life every single day whether it’s on the court or not.”
