Class of 2021 forward Jack Molloy of the PSA Cardinals (NY) and Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) has made a significant amount of news in the recruiting world recently. Molloy has visited UPenn, Brown and Harvard all this week. He spoke to HG Insider about these visits and much more.

Q: What visits have you gone on recently & how did each of them go?

A: “This summer has been fantastic. I have visited a number of great schools and have enjoyed each one. I am looking forward to taking more visits as my recruiting continues.”

Q: Not many kids have the opportunity to be recruited by the highly academic institutions that are after you. What is this like for you?

A: “My parents have always made it clear that academics are of the utmost importance. The opportunity to play basketball at a high level while getting a great education is a dream come true.”

Q: What have you enjoyed the most about the recruitment process thus far?

A: “Hearing from different college coaches about their thoughts on my game has been a great learning experience. I always come out of meetings with a new aspect of my game to work on.”

Q: What are people going to learn about you this high school season?

A: “This season people will see my versatility on the court. I am typically used on the wing, but I can handle the ball and am strong enough to play in paint. I expect to be used in a variety of ways to help NMH win this year.”

Q: What would you say your biggest asset to a team is on and off the court?

A: “On the court I stay effective without the ball, by playing with energy and communicating. Off the court I am supportive of my teammates and want to bring out the best in all of them. As a returning upperclassman at NMH, I want to be a leader of this team.”
