The Core Skills Training program is a total basketball workout program designed to help every player develop their individual offensive skills. The program is not a team or camp, we are committed to helping the athlete who wishes to become a better basketball player through long term development. Players who commit to the CST will become more competitive, improve their self esteem, and enhance their leadership skills. The program uses a progressive developmental approach to teaching and developing young players. Each workout builds on the skills taught in the previous session and players develop at a continued pace throughout the entire program. The program places a heavy emphasis on game speed drills and player conditioning. All players will leave the Core Skills Training program with an understanding of the work ethic necessary to improve continuously throughout their career as well as an appreciation of the types of drills that are required to compete at the highest level possible.
THERE ARE NO GAMES IN THIS PROGRAM - IT IS FOR SERIOUS PLAYERS DEDICATED TO THE GAME!
What is Core Skills Training?
The philosophy of Core Skills Training is to help teach the game of basketball and the essentials of teamwork to young athletes with an enthusiasm and passion to learn the fundamentals and skills necessary to succeed by providing strategies to individually develop offensive and defensive footwork, hand speed, conditioning, ball handling and shooting skills. We believe that by repetition of correct basketball mechanics, the athletes will develop the confidence necessary to become aggressive Offensive and Defensive Players. The skills that we teach today, are the foundation that our kids can and will build upon to reach their desired potential. Core Skills Training is dedicated to ‘teaching’ the game of basketball through the proper fundamentals of shooting, passing, footwork and ballhandling that all players will develop and succeed. The goal is to inspire young players to commit to the development of their own skills so that they can be a contributing part of a successful basketball team at any level of competition.
