Coach Dan Hurley is the head basketball coach at St. Benedict's Prep, an all-boys high school located in Newark, NJ. Coach Hurley's success at the school has brought national attention as his teams are routinely ranked among the nation's best. One of the best young coaching talents in the country, Coach Hurley's program has produced some of the game's best emerging talent in recent years, including:

Coach Hurley was named the 1991 New Jersey Player of the Year as a senior at St. Anthony's High School in Jersey City, NJ. He attended Seton Hall University, helping to lead the Pirates to a pair of Sweet Sixteens during his time there. Upon graduation, Coach Hurley took to the sidelines, with coaching stints at Rutgers University and back at St. Anthony's before taking his current position at St. Benedict's.
Perimeter Skills Camps - What Players Learn
Coach Hurley's Perimeter Skills Camp is designed for player's who aim to improve their ability to play facing the basket and on the perimeter. The Perimeter Skills Camp is for point guards to small forwards. Any player that is looking to improve their ballhandling, perimeter offense, shooting range and decision-making is going to come away a better player through their work with Coach Hurley.
Each weekend Skills Camp is run by Coach Hurley and members of his St. Benedict's staff. Their focus on breaking the fundamentals down into workable and achievable skills allows for players of all abilities to understand how to play the game the correct way. All Perimeter Skills Camps will cover the following topics:
Ballhandling Transition Passing Shooting 1 vs. 1 Offense
Reading Screens Using Screen and Roll Guard Movement Transition Offense
Feeding the Post Perimeter Spacing
