Individual Youth League - An Overview
Now it 3rd year, the Individual Youth League is one of our most popular Youth Instructional Programs. Designed for recreation to travel level players, grades 3 to 6, the Individual Youth League provides a perfect balance of skill development with organized game play.
Each league session is broken into two segments. For the first segment, players are put through drills to improve their ballhandling, passing, footwork, shooting form, 1 vs. 1 play and overall conditioning. In the second segment, the players are divided into teams and they compete against one another in a 4-quarter game with certified officials. Each session is run by Hoop Group Headquarters Instruction Director Tiny Green and is coached by the Hoop Group Headquarters coaching staff and other quality coaches from around the Jersey Shore area.
